Proposition:
We as Jesuit alumni are in a unique position to radically transform societies by providing local communities with the means and skills to succeed in shaping their future
Outcomes of this Congress:
- To help create an environment that will lead to a JAAI ecosystem, an ecosystem that will nurture the creation of social enterprises with JAAI acting as a bridge where skills, resources, knowledge from our urban alumni can be shared with alumni or others in rural areas and vice versa.
- Support existing Jesuit social enterprises
- Team with organizations who would subscribe to JAAI-principles.
Theme: “Go Social – Collaborating to magnify civil society action”
The theme for the Congress is about collaboration. About social engagement. About social entrepreneurship. The focus for the congress is about acting and doing together. We will share examples of success in the different alumni communities and discuss and plan on replicating some or all of these successes across the region. In presenting our successes, we both learn from them and we celebrate our efforts - and create strong foundation to collaborate. By collaborating we can magnify the impact of these initiatives. As individuals and communities, we will gain from sharing this knowledge - and ultimately for people in our respective provinces and region.
